BSRC Supports Mobile Mammogram and Gynecologic Cancer Screening Initiative

Bangchak Sriracha Public Company Limited BSRC) has reaffirmed its commitment to public health by supporting a mobile mammogram and gynecologic cancer screening initiative. Ms. Tipsukol Duangthip, Public Affairs and Administrative Manager represented BSRC in providing financial support to the Kanjanabaramee Foundation. Additionally, BSRC sponsored food and beverages for medical personnel and local residents participating in the program. The initiative was held in honor of the auspicious occasion of the 72nd birthday of His Majesty the King. It aimed to provide breast cancer screenings using a mobile mammogram unit and gynecologic cancer screenings for women at risk in Sriracha District. The event took place at the Sriracha Community Hall, Chonburi Province.

Early cancer detection plays a crucial role in increasing the effectiveness of treatment. This program enabled at-risk individuals to undergo breast cancer screening through mobile mammography and cervical cancer screening via HPV DNA testing and Pap smear procedures. Moreover, the initiative emphasized education on risk factors, symptoms, treatment options, and self-examination techniques, encouraging women to monitor their health regularly and seek medical consultation if abnormalities arise. The screening program saw significant participation, with 167 women undergoing cervical cancer screenings and 365 women receiving breast cancer screenings. Of those examined, 62 individuals showed abnormalities and have been referred for further medical evaluation and treatment.

Recognizing that good health is fundamental to individual and community development, BSRC continues to collaborate with local healthcare partners, including Sriracha District Public Health Office, Somdej Phra Borommaratchathewi Na Sriracha Hospital, and Laem Chabang Hospital. By supporting health initiatives, BSRC remains dedicated to improving the well-being of the local population and contributing to the sustainable development of the nation.
